Woman from New York re-creates 'The Holiday' Christmas house swap with Londoner – and finds her very own Jude Law

A woman from New York has re-created the 'The Holiday', leading her to find her very own Jude Law in London – and TikTok users can't get enough of the story.

A few weeks ago, Camille Wyand, 25, spotted an ad on Instagram advertising a home swap and was paired with Lizzie Frainier, an editor and travel writer from Tooting, south London.

On Monday 6 December, she arrived in the capital and settled into a week-long stay with three new roommates.

Meanwhile, Lizzie prepared to move into Camille's one-bedroom flat in the West Village, but didn't head to New York City until two days later, giving the pair a chance to bond before the adventure began.

"That night, we went to grab pizza and wine to get to know each other," Camille told Jam Press.

"It felt like we had known each other for years because we got along so well and loved chatting with each other. We were instantly great friends."

Although she didn't hook up with a neighbour or someone's brother, like Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz do in the movie, Camille also had a fling while on holiday.

As part of the home swap, which was organised and paid for by HomeExchange and the dating service Thursday, she was set up with a dating profile.

And that's how she met 28-year-old Paddy James.

The technology consultant, who lives in Clapham, took Camille to Mr. Whites in Leicester Square and the pair had a "really good" date.

"We decided to go on our date on the Thursday, I was really nervous but so excited, we had been texting and had great chemistry texting," Camille, who works as a strategy consultant, told Jam Press.

"It was really fun, we had a great time getting to know each other, hearing about his friends and life, sharing with him about mine, bonding over our love for travel and different tr

Lizzie fliegt nach New York.
